Rovio released the first gameplay video of Angry Birds Star Wars. Birds using lightsabers and the force? It seems to change the gameplay principle of the original version a bit. We’ll see how well it fares when it is released on November 8.

WWDC 2012 — the pre-show

In a few hours, the Apple keynote will kick-start a week tailored for developers working on Apple’s platforms. It will be the first WWDC keynote after Steve Jobs’ passing. From what we’ve seen, the ‘speakers’ team headed by Tim Cook knows how to deliver a good presentation while keeping Apple’s cultural values in place. Intriguing this year is […]

OS X Lion released

A few minutes ago, Apple has launched OS X Lion on the Mac App Store. It has a price tag of $29.99 / 23.99€ / £20.99. To my knowledge this is the first time a computer operating system is released exclusively online without physical media available (check update on this below). During the following days we’ll see how well […]

Today, Apple filed a motion to intervene in the matter. From Foss Patents: Apple’s proposed […]

After an amazing launch for one particular mobile device model — 1.7 million iPhone 4 sold in the first 3 days — Apple started to receive criticism regarding an issue related to the phone’s signal reception. Many owners of the new iPhone model noticed that when they hold the device (in particular, the bottom-left corner) the bars […]

iPhone 4 Interface showcase

iLounge posted a 7 min. video showing the interface of several iPhone 4 features. One can get a good sense of what to expect in terms of speed and responsiveness of the device when multitasking, opening folders, exploring photos, watching video and navigating through other apps/options. It sure seems to be one speedy gadget.

Amazon Kindle for tablet computers, including the iPad

Amazon posted online a page called “Kindle Apps for tablet computers including the iPad”. It seems that Amazon is stating the Kindle as a platform and service available in various types of devices, aiming for some kind of ubiquity with its brand (recently the Kindle was also announced for the Mac). I’m curious about what the next Kindle’s hardware […]
